Meet the PROs: Dixie Dansercoer

11/10/2018

Speakersbase is happy to announce that we have started with our PRO project! In it, we will be helping a small selection of hand-picked experts to get on stage more. Get to know the PROs! Today: Dixie Dansercoer!

Dixie Dansercoer is best known as an influential North and South Pole explorer, but his skill does not end there. He is also a prolific public speaker who often takes the stage alongside his wife Julie. They often address a corporate crowd, changing their mindset. “When being offered the platform to speak to an audience, we experience it more like a dialogue, an exchange of ideas. We are very grateful to receive the listener’s attention and therefore do our utmost to be keep the attention span high with exclusive photo- and videographic intermezzo’s from (Ant)Arctica.”

Changing minds

Dixie has over 27 years of experience going to the Poles! “We have had the privilege of going to the Polar Regions for trainings, ambitious expeditions, scientific research trips, photo- and film sessions and have guided numerous people to experience first-hand the intensity of the extreme High and Low latitudes.” His wife and business partner Julie Brown assists him off and on stage. They translate the intrinsic characteristics of running and executing complex expeditions into ‘hot’ corporate topics. “Our duo speeches allow for our differences in cultural backgrounds and bond on the level of delivering excellence.”

What fascinates Dixie about the North and South Poles is that all matters related to the (Ant)Arctic are still very foreign, yet very intriguing to the average person. “Away from the typical polished nature documentaries that we see on TV, we bring that amazingly beautiful world straight into the seminar room and together with the client, we choose the topics that are closest to the nature of the business they are in. Motivated by passion, I believe our delivery is a natural one that stems from a great love for what we do. Pure, honest and simple.”

We are happy to work with Dixie, and we’ll be keeping you posted on his public speaking and other work!
